Sterling Custom Homes Offers MCE Courses for Austin Realtors

AUSTIN, Texas –To help Realtors meet the rigid demands of keeping up-to-date with the changing real estate market while working hard to sell luxury homes in Austin, Sterling Custom Homes is now offering seven convenient, one-hour mandatory continuing education courses. Taught by Graduate Master Builders Duke McDowell and Gary Grambley, the courses are approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

“These courses will help Realtors better understand the steps Texas custom home builders take to create luxury custom homes, from choosing the right home site to establishing a warranty,” said McDowell, president of Sterling Custom Homes. “They will be better equipped to sell custom homes in Austin and to succeed in a part of the market they may not have worked in before.”

Sterling Custom Homes’ class format gives brokers and realty office managers the ability to schedule several courses in one long session or to fit in just one course at a time if schedules are tight. Course topics include choosing the right lot, plan evolution, custom home framing, custom home foundations, cost plus vs. fixed price, custom home warranty and green building. Coursework is approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission for Mandatory Continuing Education for Texas Realtors.

Duke McDowell, GMB, CGB, CGP, is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Engineering with a Construction Option. Having spent his entire career building homes, he has been recognized for contributions and service to the home construction industry as an inductee into the Engineering Technology Academy at Texas Tech University.

Gary Grambley, CGB, GMB, is director of sales and marketing for Sterling Custom Homes.
